Speed paint/warm up in photoshop cs4

Many new interesting things going on in my life right now. I'm part of a movie project I cannot tell much yet but, it's based on historical events. And soon I should be backing up my stuff and move to Netherlands for almost half a year. I'm really excited by this opportunity and we'll see where it takes me.

All you artists/studios who are located in Netherlands and want to meet me, don't hesitate to contact me! It would be awesome to meet you guys.

And once again this is smaller update for the blog, in the next one I'm going to talk about my work space/tools. What I use, what I take with me when I'm working on a location etc.

Finally got around to create a speed painting video. This is a warm up piece, I usually do before I start working on a client work. It gets my brain and hand on the same "level", so drawing becomes less painful in a way.

When I do warm ups/speed paintings I usually don't have any idea what I want to draw. So I'll play with shapes and let them talk to me and tell the story. Maybe it's more clear on the video what I'm trying to say here. Alchemy software is very handy in this matter, I mean creating random shapes for you. You can find it at: Its a open source project so it's completely free to download and use.

Hopefully you enjoy the video!
